Saffron & Sage is in Mission Hills, just north of Little Italy, a short drive from Downtown, Bankers Hill, Point Loma and North Park. The entrance is on West Maple Street.

Which conditions do you work with?
We see people for thyroid concerns including Hashimoto's, adrenal and stress symptoms, blood sugar and metabolic concerns, perimenopause and menopause, low testosterone, PCOS and cycle issues, and unexplained fatigue. Your Doctor will tell you honestly if something else should come first.
Do I need a diagnosis first?
No. Many people come because they feel unwell and have been told their labs are normal. We look at a wider set of markers and at how you feel.
Can you use my recent labs?
Often yes. Book a discovery call or call our Concierge, and we will tell you which outside markers count as equivalent to the Saffron Panel.
Do you prescribe thyroid medication or hormones?
Our Naturopathic Doctors can prescribe thyroid medication, hormone replacement therapy for women and testosterone replacement therapy for men when appropriate, based on your labs and history.
What does the Saffron Panel include?
The Saffron Panel covers up to 72 biomarkers, including thyroid, hormone, blood sugar and nutrient markers. Your Doctor will explain which ones matter most for you.
How long until I see changes?
It depends on what is going on and how long you have had it. You will have a written plan after your Lab Interpretation, and we re-test every 90 days to track what is changing.
Can this work with my endocrinologist?
Yes. We coordinate with your other providers, with your permission, and we never ask you to stop care you are receiving.
What does a first visit cost?
New patients can start with a first appointment for $250 (normally $300), or $300 with a full consultation. A discovery call is free. Labs are billed separately.
Do you take insurance, and can I use HSA or FSA funds?
We are a direct-pay practice and do not bill insurance. Superbills are available on request, and we accept HSA, FSA, HRA and LSA funds. Your plan administrator decides which services are eligible, so please check with your plan.
