The Hypnotherapy Methodology

At Saffron & Sage, hypnotherapy is experienced as a five week series. The methodology is that the series is to be completed as is follows: 1 x week for 5 weeks with no more than 2-3 weeks in between sessions. The first 2 appointments of the series are two hours in length. This series is five weeks in duration as the practitioner works to uncover deep rooted systemic issues and then uproot destructive patterns or self-limiting beliefs.

Each week the following topics are addressed:

  1. Acknowledgement - 2 hours - This step is where we dive into where the underlying issue/limiting belief/obstacle first emerged in the clientโ€™s life. Regression into childhood and inner child healing.

  2. Forgiveness of others - 2 hour -  This step is where we discover who has perpetuated this storyline in their lives and in order to start the healing process, forgiveness needs to happen.

  3. Forgiveness of self - 2 hour - This step is where we discover the role that the client plays in their own suffering, taking ownership of any wrongdoing, reframing the reasoning why they โ€œmake mistakesโ€ and finally forgiving themselves and allowing to move forward.

  4. Activating choice - 2 hour -  This step is where neuro linguistic programming (NLP) is introduced, creating different languaging around new neural pathways in their brain, using the power of their mind to reinforce these pathways, changing behaviors when triggers arise and deepening suggestions that they own their choices and the new choices they make are leading them closer to their goals.

  5. Freedom - 1 hour - This step is where more NLP techniques are added in, further strengthening the neural pathways in the brain, freedom from the past and freedom to become.

Who is hypnotherapy for?

Hypnotherapy can be used for a myriad of issues or challenges a person may be facing such as:

  1. Quit smoking 

  2. Hypnobirthing (every trimester) 

  3. Specific phobias (fear of flying, spiders) 

  4. Performance anxiety (fear of public speaking) 

  5. Sleep 

  6. Weight control  

  7. Tension headaches

  8. Pain relief

  9. Dental fear (day prior to dental appointment)

  10. Nail biting
