DWELL | Autumn Equinox Circle

HB-7365.jpg

The beginning of each season is marked by a Solstice or Equinox - the point during the Earth's orbit around the sun in which it is at its least (Equinox) or greatest (Solstice) distance from the celestial equator.

At the Autumn Equinox, Earth’s two hemispheres are receiving the sun’s rays equally. The night and day are approximately equal in length thus beginning the time of year when our days are marked by more darkness than light and the beginning of Autumn.

Ancient cultures around the world have long observed the Autumn Equinox with festivals and celebrations honoring the change of seasons and shifting their postures and practices to reflect the seasonal invitation.

In our Autumn Equinox Circle we will come together to hold space for the change of season by setting our intentions to embrace wisdom and extend trust.

We will engage in gentle movements that encourage our body and mind to let go and lean into the Autumn theme of release.

Through chanting and meditation we will connect to our center clearing away old energy to prepare for fall.
