Sheava is a licensed Marriage & Family Therapist with a Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology from Pepperdine University. She has been working in the mental health field for over 8 years now, providing individual, family, and group therapy. Her journey of creativity and spiritual awakening started by using elements of music to assist children with Autism to communicate their needs through sound and sensory stimulation. This was the time of realization that healing, understanding and growth is multifaceted and dynamic. From music therapy, stemmed a large portion of her work providing Psychotherapy to address trauma, anxiety, depression, substance abuse, and relationship issues. For further depth and breadth in healing modalities, Sheava also obtained certification as a Hypnotist from the International Hypnosis Federation, and training in over five evidence-based therapeutic models, including Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Multi-Adaptive Psychotherapy, Positive Parenting Psychotherapy, Seeking Safety, and Crisis-Oriented Recovery Services. Sheava believes that each individual is uniquely grappling with his or her life obstacles, yet, with the same life purpose and ultimate goal for a self-fulfilling future, so she incorporates a multitude of techniques to fit one’s unique needs, in order to encompass elements of spiritual, emotional, and physical awakening.
