April’s full moon is known as the Pink Moon, and this year it falls in intense Scorpio. ⠀ ⠀ The energy of a Full Moon awakens us to what needs to be cleared in our lives and under Scorpio, we can experience an even deeper sense of transformation. ⠀ ⠀ As we near closer to the Full Moon, we encourage you to pay attention to new insights that may emerge from you - the new thoughts, feelings, ideas. If following these different pathways of thought requires deep introspection, to balance what is coming to the surface, you may need to retreat and protect yourself from the outside world in order to emerge anew. ⠀ ⠀ This Scorpio Full Moon will give us the opportunity to shed the layers of ourselves that have been holding us back, allowing us to feel and understand our true essence - our authentic selves. ⠀ ⠀ Next Monday, April 30th, at 7:30pm we’ll continue to explore and utilize the energy of the full moon, during our Full Moon Circle. “If you haven’t gotten into millet yet it’s awesome. I’ve been eating it as an alternative to quinoa. It’s got a nutty flavor and can be cooked soft into a porridge or more like rice. Millet isn’t a grain, it’s actually a seed and is gluten free. It’s like half the price of quinoa too which is a bonus.⠀ ⠀ For most folks millet is easy to digest and works as a great prebiotic. Millet is high in magnesium, phosphorus and antioxidants. It is alkaline and non-allergenic. Millet also contains serotonin which calms our moods.”⠀ ⠀ Learn how to use millet in @ashleyneese’s Spring Bounty Bowl recipe up on our blog! ⠀ ⠀ There’s an overwhelming amount of information when it comes to nutrition. For guidance on nutrition and personalized, bio-individual recommendations, meet with one of our Nutritional Therapists! In spite of our circumstances, we know that each of us possesses the capacity for resilience and restoration. We can choose the path of vulnerability - the path towards hope and healing where we journey through negative thoughts, trauma and toxicity.⠀ ⠀ We encourage you to acknowledge where you are on your journey with honesty. No matter where you find yourself, create the space you need to allow for your growth. And as you look around and start to discover where you are, recognize how far you’ve come. ⠀
Our hearts are still full from @ladiesaloud’s Talking Dirty with Clean Beauty panel from Tuesday! ⠀ ⠀ Community is an invaluable source when it comes to making lifestyle changes, whether it be a change in your diet or switching to non toxic makeup. ⠀ ⠀ We can only truly rise by lifting others up with us and Tuesday was a reminder of the energy and strength we can create when we come together to support one another. ⠀ ⠀ From all of us here at Saffron & Sage, we thank you for joining us in our space and brining authenticity and vulnerability. We’re honored to be apart of your journey as we explore not only clean beauty, but holistic health.⠀ ⠀ If you missed this green beauty talk, join us this coming Tuesday for our Plant-Based Beauty workshop! What we eat, put onto our skin and the products we use every day have the ability to impact our health and wellness.⠀ ⠀ Did you know some of the chemicals in our beauty and body products block certain hormone receptors in our bodies causing imbalances in our body’s function? ⠀ ⠀ Next Tuesday, April 24th, we will delve into this topic more with our green beauty workshop that’ll walk you through the basics of toxic ingredients hiding in your beauty and body products and how to replace them. ⠀ ⠀ This Plant-Based Beauty workshop will be lead by Saffron & Sage’s Registered Dietician, Leslie Bobo, and Courtney O'Conner, Licensed Esthetician of Primally Pure. Together we will explore the benefits of using natural beauty and body products and together we will make our own face masks to take back home.⠀ ⠀ ⠀ Keep in mind all of our gatherings are curated for 10 ladies so that you can connect personally with our Practitioners and one another.
