DWELL | New Moon Circle

  • Saffron & Sage

The moon, being the closest astronomical body to Earth, has a profound effect on us. It represents the feminine, emotional, creative and nurturing aspects of our lives. During the new moon the sun and moon are in alignment. The sun's light illuminates the moon hiding it from our view.

The magic of the new moon is that it represents beginning. It's a great time to begin new projects, initiate important conversations, plant seeds and set intentions. The new moon generates negative ions elevating our mood and inspiring our desire to begin new things and manifest outward change.

The alignment of the sun and moon during the new moon creates space for the subconscious and conscious minds to communicate, merging our wants and needs, leading to a deeper more integrated life.

The new moon invites us to take ownership for our dreams and desires and to commit to the beliefs and behaviors necessary to get us there. During our New Moon Circle we will gather to identify desires and set intentions. Together we will take advantage of the powerful new moon energy that enables us to claim our dreams and chart our course.

Join us in Little Italy for an evening of setting intentions. Through the guidance of Lauren Ursch, Yoga Instructor and Movement Therapist, you can set the stage for your month, year and life ahead. Together we will embrace our new beginnings through movement, visualization and sound healing.

DWELL | Full Moon Circle

  • Saffron & Sage

The moon, being the closest astronomical body to Earth, has a profound effect on us. Just like the moon's phases affect the ocean's tide, we too are affected by the lunar cycle. It represents the feminine, emotional, creative and nurturing aspects of our lives. During the full moon energy peaks then releases creating an opening for change.

The full moon marks the end of a chapter. It invites us to let go of that which we have outgrown or no longer need by shedding light on the people or projects, beliefs or feelings that are interfering with our spiritual development.

During our Full Moon Circle we will gather together to participate in a heart-opening Cacao Ceremony to release these things - whether they be relationships, grudges, anger, addictions, etc. Together we will take advantage of the powerful and intense full moon energy that enables us to let go and support it with no-touch energy work.

Join us in Little Italy for an evening of emotional, physical and spiritual release. NOURISH | The Art of Eating

  • Saffron & Sage

As community leaders and entrepreneurs we're already focused on filling our bodies with nutritious foods to give us the energy we need to conquer the day.

Although we may not be strangers to smoothies and superfoods we still find ourselves battling with digestive and mood disorders along with weight and sleep issues wondering what else we can possibly do.

The brain-gut connection has been the missing link in understanding how we eat is just as important as what we eat.

Together we will explore the psychology of digestion and how eating on the go and in stressful situations is hijacking our nutrition. We will touch on techniques you can incorporate to begin digesting and start assimilating those much needed nutrients.

Join Kristy Malone, Nutritional Therapy Practitioner & Mental Health Therapist, as she shows us how to incorporate the art of eating into our everyday lives through mindfulness practices bringing healing to our digestive and metabolic systems, increasing our energy and elevating our mood!

DWELL | Summer Solstice Celebration

  • 2314 India Street San Diego, CA, 92101 United States
photo1-1244.JPG

The beginning of each season is marked by a Solstice or Equinox - the point during the Earth's orbit around the sun in which it is at its least (Equinox) or greatest (Solstice) distance from the celestial equator.

On the Summer Solstice we mark the longest day of the year above the equator and the point in which the sun starts rising later and setting earlier.

"Solstice" comes from the Latin solsitium, or "sun stands still" named for the appearance of the sun on this first day of summer that appears to stand still reaching its highest point in the sky.

Ancient cultures around the world have long observed the Summer Solstice with festivals and celebrations honoring the change of seasons and shifting their postures and practices to reflect the seasonal invitation.

In Summer we are invited to embrace the way of the Visionary as we embrace wisdom and discernment aligning our actions with our true nature. It is a time to swim into the deep allowing projects and relationships to unfold to their full potential. That which was budding in Spring is coming to full bloom in Summer.

Through the gentle guidance of Cristin Smith, Founder & Spiritual Director, we will embrace the luxurious growth of Summer - bringing acknowledgment through reflection (silence) and expression (journaling and sharing) to our individual experiences creating space to show up this Summer speaking and acting on our personal truth. You will leave our time together feeling energized and with your very own Saffron & Sage seasonal guide to Summer wellness.

CULTIVATE | Mapping Our Emotions

  • Hatched Collective

Your body knows when something is wrong before you do. In Traditional Chinese Medicine, each organ corresponds with a different emotion. By testing our Meridians, we can identify which organs are compromised and their emotional counterpart.

Each of us has the capacity to heal and the innate intelligence to do so. But how do we identify what our organs are trying to tell us? How do we identify the emotional baggage are we carrying around and then release it?

Our bodies truly are a treasure map for the soul. Learning to read our body-map lends to the discovery of what may be in the way of us reaching our full potential.

This time of year often brings feelings of grief, tension and stress. Find out how to holistically support those emotions this season under the gentle guidance of Daniela Rahimi, Life Coach, Energy Practitioner and Certified Hypnotist. Together we will explore how to read our body-map and how to support ourselves using plant-based nutrition, medicine, movement and visualization.

Lastly we will explore the spiritual invitations that come with Spring and the unique practices designed to renew our personal vision and support our spirit.

CULTIVATE | Mapping Our Emotions

  • Luce Loft

Your body knows when something is wrong before you do. In Traditional Chinese Medicine, each organ corresponds with a different emotion. By testing our Meridians, we can identify which organs are compromised and their emotional counterpart.

Each of us has the capacity to heal and the innate intelligence to do so. But how do we identify what our organs are trying to tell us? What emotional baggage are we carrying around and how can we release it?

Our bodies truly are a treasure map for the soul. Learning to read our body-map lends to the discovery of what may be in the way of us reaching our full potential.

The Autumn season invites us to contemplate, look within and give thanks. This time of year often brings feelings of grief, tension and stress. Join us under the gentle guidance of Jacquelyne Price, Holistic Health Practitioner, Master Herbalist and Applied Kinesiologist. Together we will explore how to read our body-map and how to support ourselves using plant-based nutrition, medicine, movement and visualization.

  • Registration will close at 5:00PM on September 25th
  • Class will begin promptly at 6:00PM
  • This will be a full class, so participants must be pre-registered
  • Participants are encouraged to bring their own blanket and pillow

NOURISH | Discovering Ayurvedic Medicine

  • Bird Park

Ayurveda is believed to be the oldest science about life.

According to Hindu scriptures, our bodies are not comprised of only organs, rather a collection of three bodies and soul. All three bodies work in harmony, in rhythm. Our physical body is made up of 5 elements: Space, Air, Fire, Water and Earth. All these elements are present in our surrounding environment also and have an influence on our body.

Ayurvedic Medicine practices on the prevention of illness and maintenance of physical and emotional health. Food and lifestyle routines are considered the most important medicine.

Saffron & Sage invites you to join us as we Discover Ayurvedic Medicine.
