You can harness the moon's energy two days before and after a full moon; if you missed our new moon circle on February 15, 2018 here is Integrative Healer, Rob Nguyen's take on this celestial event and his suggestions for incorporating the moon's energy during this time of the month.
A S T R O L O G Y :
The February New Moon Solar Eclipse in Aquarius represents a positive turning point and a new chapter. The air sign of Aquarius provides a gentle, hopeful, and loving energy; paired with the new moon this opens the opportunity for starting anew gracefully and allows a greater sense of mindfulness toward others. The partial solar eclipse is a halfway point from the winter solstice to the spring solstice. A new direction is planted when we seek the valuable seeds in our shadows. Are you ready to remix your thought patterns?
A pause of sunlight (the shadow of the eclipse) will allow for what was hidden in the dark to illuminate even brighter. Gratitude for our light will arrive and recognition of our constant dependence for light will trade out for deeper appreciation when we partner with darkness.
Axis of Aquarius - lunation of innovation, re-imagination, unconventional ideas / role of the preacher, teacher, divine individual, and awakener in all of us.
T H E P H Y S I C A L :
Aquarius rules the ankles. Yin Yoga poses are great for clearing space for positive Aquarian traits to balance: square pose, toe squat, ankle stretch, hero's pose, easy pose, squat, dangling, swan
Crystal that illuminates this moon: Amethyst - invites the third eye, ajna, to beam light into the darkness so we may explore our layers of consciousness with intuition and confidence.
- Lemon - to inspire diplomacy in controversy and heated discussions
- Frankincense - for spiritual protection during moments of diving into the visions and realization perceived through the third eye
- Patchouli - for emotional grounding when the mind is airy with uncontrollable thoughts
